You won't find a more "PRO BYU-IDAHO" couple than us. We both graduated from BYU-Idaho, Sara in 2005 in Health Education and PE and Andrew in 2006 in Health Science. During our schooling at BYU-Idaho Sara was the intramural director from 2002-2003, Andrew was the fitness director from 2005-2006, we managed women's housing, and Andrew served in an on campus singles ward bishopbric.
Andrew is currently in his 2nd year of graduate school at Nova Southeastern University getting a doctorate degree in physical therapy. Andrew LOVES soccer and college football, anything to do with Brazil (where he served his mission), personal training/eating right/working out, playing with out kids, and building things (from decorative mirrors to entire houses). He is the vice president of his physical therapy class and at church he serves as the ward mission leader.
Sara (that's me). I fell very lucky/blessed to be able to stay at home with my 2 adorabel kids. I love to craft and have my own store on etsy called cutie patootie where I sell handmade baby and kids accessories and clothing. I love to make handmade gifts, read mystery novels, blog, anything chocolate, warm weather, and listening to my kids laugh. I currently serve as the 1st counselor in the Young Women's Program.
Gabriel is our outgoing, sweet smiling, spikey haired, 3 1/2 year old son. He loves swimming, cooking with his mom, making crafts, dots to dots, and wrestling with his dad. Gabriel is in sunbeams this year and loves singing and wishes EVERY night was family home evening. We usually call him Gabriel and not just Gabe, or his nick names are "My dude", "Homey G", or "Buddy".
Kenzington is our bright eyed, red haired, intuitive, daughter who just turned 1 in February. She loves to take all the cushions off of the couch (with help from Gabriel-her partner in crime) and to crawl all over them. She also loves to play patty cake, taking baths by herself (don't we all), red grapes, and dancing to "kenzi, kenzi bo benzi...". We call her Kenzi for short or her nick name: "fruity".
We love being able to be a part of this program that provides an outlet to help students with questions about BYU-Idaho as well as for us as alumni to be able to share our experiences, insights, and testimonies about the school and the gospel. We live in a predominently low income, part member/single member families, but high converting area (our ward goal is 44 baptisms this year) and this program is a great help in stearing new high school and college age converts to higher education.
